Terms, privacy and cookies
Updated: 27 September 2026
Pixel’s War is a free browser game by John Does it. You can play against the AI, share a device, or invite a friend online. No account is required.
Playing the game
Play fairly and respect your opponent. Do not disrupt the service or try to access someone else’s game without their invitation. The game may change or be temporarily unavailable. Progress is kept in the current page only; refreshing or closing it ends the match.
Your preferences
The pixelswars-settings cookie remembers your language, keyboard layout, sound and music settings when you change them. It contains no account identifier and is not used for advertising or analytics. It is a session cookie with no expiry date; a browser that restores sessions may retain it after closing.
Change these settings in Options and help, or remove the cookie using your browser’s site-data controls. Blocking cookies prevents preferences from being saved between visits. The game code includes no advertising or analytics trackers.
Online games
Creating or joining a game contacts PeerJS Cloud to exchange a random session identifier and WebRTC connection details. When configured, Metered provides connection servers and a TURN relay. Otherwise, Google’s STUN service helps establish a direct connection. These providers receive technical connection data, including IP addresses. Opening an invitation alone does not contact them.
Actions and game state travel between the browsers, directly or through an encrypted relay connection. Your opponent’s browser can learn your IP address. Share invitations only with people you trust. The host validates actions and holds the reference state. This mode is intended for friendly games, without guaranteed protection against cheating.
Some networks or browser settings can prevent a connection even with a relay. Relay availability also depends on the provider’s service and quota. Temporary interruptions pause play. It resumes if the connection returns. Reloading or closing a page ends the session, and both players must agree to a rematch.
Hosting and third-party services
The published site is hosted by GitHub Pages. Hosting and connection providers may process technical logs to operate their services, under their own policies. Pixel’s War does not control their retention periods. External credit links open the respective providers’ websites.
